Accommodation


Vale Village

Delegates can purchase single occupancy rooms at the University of Birmingham’s Vale Village, approximately 20 minutes’ walk from campus. Rooms cost £60 per night and can only be booked for the full week (check in on Sunday the 19th and check out on Friday the 24th). These can be booked through the registration portal.

Your stay will include:

  • En-suite bedrooms in a cluster of either four or six rooms, with shared kitchen/lounge facilities
  • Courtesy beverages in the kitchen area
  • Bedding and towels
  • Irons and bedside lamps are available from the reception
  • Free Wi-Fi
  • Breakfast

Chamberlain Tower Reception:

You can check in at any time during the conference. The Chamberlain Reception desk will be open daily from 07.00 - 22.00. If you are checking in outside of these times, please go to the main Vale Reception in Shackleton building, which is available 24 hours a day.

Parking is available at the Vale Village on a pay and display basis with the Ringo app.

Travelling here:

If you are travelling from Birmingham City Centre or Birmingham New Street Train Station to the Vale Village accommodation there are two best travel options, we recommend:


Taxi - (Advised if you have luggage, approx 15 minutes)

Taxis can be found in the taxi ranks outside New Street Station, and Birmingham International Airport, or you could use a service such as Uber. Please check taxis are suitably licenced or make provisions to book in advance.


Train - from Birmingham New Street Station to University (Birmingham) Station. You will then have a roughly 20 minute walk to the Vale Village.

If you are travelling from Birmingham International Airport directly to the Vale Village you can take a taxi, or travel from the airport train station Birmingham International to Birmingham New Street Station and follow the guidance above.

If you are walking between University (Birmingham) Station and the Vale Village, please put postcode B15 3SZ into your phone maps app.

Edgbaston Park Hotel
